Unvergessen an kalten Tagen das zünden der Engines. Zum einmaligen Sound kam noch weißer Rauch hinzu. Der TriStar ist einer der schönsten Flugzeuge ever, insbesondere auch in der Cola Bemalung aus Düsseldorf. Schmerzlich vermisst!

Wenn es über "Paris im Sommer 1983" noch etwas zu berichten gibt, immer raus damit! Ein kleines - aber interessiertes - Auditorium scheint es hier zu geben.

In Sachen reproduzierter Dias soll es aber auch weiter gehen. Und nach der (DC-) 8 kommt eigentlich die "9". Wirklich??? Nööö... Da wäre nämlich noch die andere "8". Die Antonov An-8! Ein eher seltener Flugzeugtyp, weshalb wir aktuell auch noch noch nicht all zu viele Aufnahmen davon im Portfolio haben...

Unvergessen an Paris Juni 1983 war der Abstecher nach LBG. Die Tür vom UTA Hangar war auf und schwups war man drin. Eigentlich nur um schnell zu gucken ob was drin steht. Aber dann sah man alle Hallentore Richtung Vorfeld geöffnet. Schwups war man ungefragt auf der Matte. Nach der Bis dahin völlig unbekannten Caravelle EL-OSZ ging es mit Kamera weiter zur Security Civile DC6. Da passierte wovor jeder Angst hatte: ein Polizeiauto tauchte auf und für frontal auf und zu. Ich rief noch JUNGS einfach breite Brust in der Haltung zeigen. Und tatsächlich bog der dann kurz vor uns ab und war weg

... Schwups war man ungefragt auf der Matte. Nach der Bis dahin völlig unbekannten Caravelle EL-OSZ ging es mit Kamera weiter zur Security Civile DC6. ...

Die Aktion dürfte dann auch zu dieser Aufnahme geführt haben...

Ein Bild der besagten Caravelle liegt mir leider - so wie es aussieht - aktuell nicht vor.

Ja Volltreffer mit der DC6 am nächsten Tag in ORY an der Mauer beim line Up kam dann da Pech. Die El AL 707 (erst im letzten Moment die Köpfe über die Mauer gehalten, wer weiß ob da Mossad und französische Einheiten zum Schutz des Nullers dort bewaffnet im Anschlag stehen) klappte noch wunderbar, aber dann hätte uns die örtliche Dorfpolizei auf ihre Wache in so einer Wellblech Gurke verschleppt und ohne Angabe von gründen etwa 3 Stunden dort festgehalten obwohl nach 15 Minuten feststand, dass in Deutschland nichts gegen uns vorliegt. Klogang war verboten. Alle taten so als könnten Sie kein Englisch...Licht in ORY war dann rum, daher ging’s dann ab nach CDG

Wirklich nicht als Klugscheissen aber F-GLIS das war die leckere Standard Lacke damals

Ich hatte ca 1999 schon ein Ticket in der Hand von denen HAM-NCE nonstop mit CRJ. Leider wurde der neue Kurs dann kurzfristig abgeblasen und ich wurde umgebucht via BRU mit Sabena und von dort mit Air Littoral Fokker 70 nach Nizza. Weiter ging’s nach TLS mit deren AT42. In Nizza hatten die einen echten 2 Wellen Hub...

Danke für den Hinweis! (für mich sah Air Littoral "normal" immer anders aus). Und mit Klugscheisserei hat das gar nichts zu tun; im Gegenteil. Wenn etwas nicht stimmt, soll das nicht einfach so stehen bleiben!

Alright, du hast sicherlich die vergleichsweise langweilige alte Bemalung im Sinn. Ein Jammer das Air Littoral damals mit Swissair und Sabena unterging. Nizza hat bis heute keinen Hub mehr und ist Easyjet verseucht

Wie schaut’s aus mit einem kleinen Geschwader an DC-3en?

Auch hier klafft die eine oder andere Lücke bei den Bildinformationen! Neben den Namen einiger der honorigen Fotografen sind auch noch z.B. Fragen zu den Locations offen. Also bitte: wer Ergänzungen beitragen kann, nur her damit!

Eigentlich wollte ich an dieser Stelle mal mit ein paar Convairs weiter machen. Aber da ist mir plötzlich ein wunderbares Zeitdokument vom „Aerosalon de Paris“ aus dem Jahre 1977 dazwischen gekommen, dass ich Euch nicht vorenthalten möchte. Dabei geht es aber nicht nur um die gezeigte CASA selbst (eine „normgerechte“ Aufnahme in Seitenansicht war offenkundig aufgrund der eng gestellten Exponate so wie so nicht möglich). Und auch nicht um den Kumpel in Schlaghosen, der da gerade den Stechschritt einstudiert…
Mehr noch beeindrucken mich die Ausstellungsstücke im Hintergrund! F-28, Herald , 614… Das sind alles Flugzeugtypen, die man heute vergebens am Himmel sucht (gibt es noch vereinzelt flugfähige Fokker F-28?) Anno 1977 wurden sie von ihren Herstellern als topmodernes Gerät auf der wichtigsten Luftfahrtschau (Festland-) Europas angepriesen... Was für eine Freude, dass Leute unserer Zunft da mit dem Finger am Auslöser die Reihen abgeschritten haben, auch ohne gesteigerten Wert auf "Rad/Rad" zu legen!

Aber in diesem Fall wurde die Situation perfekt eingefangen: Der Purser (in schneidiger Uniform) wartet auf die „startup-clearence“, um dann endlich auch selbst einzusteigen. Aber muss man seinen „Schützling“ danach dann tatsächlich vor den Blicken neugieriger Menschen (Spotter zählen auch dazu) verstecken??? Wider Erwarten geht es bei dieser Aufnahme - entstanden in Isola Sacra unweit des römischen FCO-Airports - nicht um die rote Kneipentür (hinter der anscheinend wenigstens Guinness ausgeschenkt wird), sondern um eine ex Italian Air Force 440…

Im vergangenen Jahrtausend war „Fremdwerbung“ auf Flugzeugen längst nicht so verbreitet wie in der heutigen Zeit. Eine gewisse „Vorreiterrolle“ diesbezüglich, spielte in den USA Western Pacific. Fast alle Maschinen der Airline trugen Mitte/Ende der 90’er Jahre unterschiedliche Bemalungen; die meisten davon als Werbung (drei davon hatten wir zwar schon weiter oben, aber der Vollständigkeit halber sind sie nochmals dabei…). Western Pacific gibt es schon lange nicht mehr; um so besser, dass damals eine kleine Abordnung engagierter Spotter den Unbilden der Natur getrotzt hat, und sich bei teilweise Ar-scheskälte gen Colorado Springs bewegte, um dort die bunten Flieger zu dokumentieren…

Auf ein Ski-Resort in Durango/Colorado machte N946WP auf der Steuerbordseite aufmerksam…

Einen wahren Schatz hast Du da gehoben, Wahnsinn!

Normalerweise ist es für einen Bildredakteur ein wahrer Segen, wenn er die Möglichkeit hat, aus dem Vollen schöpfen zu können. Aber aus einem Segen kann ganz schnell ein Fluch werden, wenn die zur Verfügung stehenden Motive eigentlich allesamt unbedingt zeigenswert sind!
In den bereits angesprochenen letzten beiden Ausgaben des Luftfahrtjournal stand dann auch unsere langjährige Bildredaktion einmal mehr (aber diesmal ultimativ) vor einem schier unlösbaren Problem: "Welches Bild darf ins Heft und welches nicht" ???? Spätestens, wenn dann nach einem nächtelangen "Streichkonzert" immer noch viel zu viele Bilder auf viel zu wenig Seiten unterzubringen waren, konnte man froh sein, dass diesen Job jemand anders macht...
Kurzum: So manches Bild hätte im Print einmal mehr das übliche Format verdient, musste aber mangels Platz "gestutzt" werden. So ist das nun mal!

Etwas Abhilfe können wir aber hier schaffen und ein paar Bilder in verdienter Größe für den heimischen Bildschirm nachreichen...

Heute mal die wunderbaren Motive der Seite 92 (Heft 559) aus dem Jahre 1976 (bzw. eines aus 1981). Und mal ganz ehrlich: hätte man sie aus Platzgründen weglassen sollen (dürfen) ???

Und wegen "dem nicht zu findenden Ende"... Obwohl ich ja nur "Erfüllungsgehilfe" in Sachen Digitalisierung und Upload der Schätze bin: meine Restlaufzeit reicht sicher nicht aus, um alle noch anstehenden Arbeiten zu erledigen!

Als mir Ulf vor einiger Zeit mal dieses Bild von Reiner aus Santa Barbara/1977 zuspielte, hielt ich das ganze für einen gut gemachten Fake. Halt sowas, mit dem man gutgläubige Menschen in den April schickt...
Dem ist aber nicht so! Bei dieser Convair-Boeing-Combo handelt es sich um einen echten fliegenden Flugsimulator! Man gönnt sich ja sonst nichts...
Interessant dabei: Recherchen haben ergeben, dass man diese "Mutation" später wieder zurückgebaut hat!!!
